On next Wednesday, September 6, the exhibition, entitled Simplicissimus
and the Empire 1896-1914, opens at the Goethe-Institut Washington. The
exhibit features reproductions of caricatures drawn for the satirical
magazine _Simplicissimus_.
The opening will include a lecture by Marion Deshmukh, Professor of Art
History at George Mason University, followed by a reception.
