Questo dossier nasce dalle discussioni seguite alla proposta di legge relativa alla condanna delle tesi negazioniste, presentata dal ministro della giustizia Mastella il 23 gennaio 2007.
Il dossier è dedicato al rapporto tra i negazionismi, a partire da quello che nega l’esistenza della Shoah, la storia e le legislazioni, con particolare attenzione ai quadri normativi che riguardano la lotta contro l’antisemitismo e i razzismi. Ha come obiettivo la ricostruzione del rapporto tra legge e definizione giuridica di eventi del passato, a questo scopo raccoglie documenti provenienti da diversi parti del mondo, concernenti differenti vicende storiche e varie modalità di contrastare i negazionismi.
Nelle quattro sezioni in cui è attualmente organizzato il dossier, sono raccolti i testi legislativi che in maniera più o meno diretta definiscono il reato di negazionismo; le ricerche compiute da organismi e istituzioni internazionali sul fenomeno del negazionismo nelle sue relazioni con l’antisemitismo e il razzismo; testi e saggi dedicati a questo fenomeno; una rassegna stampa dei principali interventi apparsi sulla stampa quotidiana.
This dossier is the result of the debates that followed the presentation of the bill proposal on the punishment for the holocaust denial, submitted by Clemente Mastella, the Italian Minister of Justice, on 23 January 2007. The dossier focuses on the relationship between the holocaust denials, starting from the denial of the existance of the Shoah, the history, and the legislations, with special regard to the legislative frameworks that concern the fight against anti-semitism and racisms. The dossier aims to reconstruct the link between law and legal definition of events of the past and, for this reason, it gathers documents from different countries pertaining to distinct past occurences. The dossier is composed of four sections that contains the legislations that define or are related to the crime of the holocaust denial; the studies carried out by international institutions and bodies on the Shoah denial and its connections with issues related to anti-semitism and racism; books and essays on the phenomenon; collection of press cuttings of the main articles published on the daily newspapers.
